Glandular fever/My girlfriend? |
hey my girlfriend has glandular fever and shes been really ill, i havent been able to see her for a while because of this. Glandular fever is also known (here in the US) as infectious mononucleosis. It is caused by the Epstein-Barr Virus. It can also be caused by cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. Read about mononucleosis at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/mononuc... Glandular fever, infectious mononucleosis, is most often caused by the Epstein-Barr virus. Most of us have already been exposed to EBV by adulthood and carry the virus without ill effects or with a subclinical case of mono. Chances are you already have it in your body. If you do, you are already immune. That's IF. The Monospot tests for antibodies and gives same day results. |

Hi, it sounds to me like your GF has changed into Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) which some Doctors even refuse to acknowledge exists... Tell that to the persoin suffering it!!! You may well have glandular fever you do not say how old you are also it could be many things but now gone past flu... |
