Is it glandular fever/mono?

Two weeks ago my best mate started getting a fever, but I didn't think it was much so we still shared drinks that night.
He got worse and has been sick ever since then.

I've been just as bad the last 8 or so days.. extremely swollen throat and lost my voice many times.
Tired as hell (but I've been under lots of school pressure lately).
Really sore neck and legs for some reason, and headaches often.
But yeah.. mainly been coughing lots, and getting hot/cold flushes.

I don't really have the time/ability to go to the doctor anytime soon otherwise I would, so I know you can get blood tests but I'd prefer advice beforehand.

My final exams are in 2 weeks... and I'm behind enough as it is without taking another week off. =/
So.. do you think it could be glandular?
But if it is - would antibiotics get me better sooner? =/

its mono. don't share drinks with anyone. really see a doctor. i heard mono last for months....
