Cure for glandular fever? |
i cant get to see the doctor for 3 days but thats what he said he assumes i have, anyoneknowwhat i can do in the time being and my throat is sore ! Get yourself some of the soluble vitamin C tablets available in boots and superdrug. They are in a tube and are 1000mg of vitamin C- you oly take one a day. I had glandular fever when I was 16 and all you can do is up your vitamins and rest. Get well soon xx Because glandular fever is a viral infection, there's no specific treatment. Pain relief and fever treatments (including paracetamol or ibuprofen), fluids and rest are important to help overcome the infection. Antibiotics aren't needed and can trigger a rash in this condition. theres nothing for glandular fever except antibiotics What a shame, I hated having Glandular fever!! I lived on nice cold yogurts for days!! it was so smooth on my throat. All the best and get well soon... P.S SSSHHHH Cool drinks and paracetamol , anything to cool the throat, jelly, yoghurt. Rest is essential so don't push yourself into any activity you don't feel like. My daughter had it and it recurred for the next 2 years. I had glandular fever but was misdaignosed as just having a bad case of the flu and a sore throat because my wisdom teeth were coming through! Wasn't til I got a rash from some antibiotics that they realised! i once went to the mandoc type place over the weekend who told me i had glandular fever and i must have been kissing someone new to get it and theres nothing he could give me i had to just ride it out(the man was clearly an idiot as its aload of rubbish). its a very good job my boyf wasn't in the room as he'd have gone mad i went to see my gp on monday as i was in alot of pain could't talk or even swallow fluids without them coming out of my nose it turned out i had tonsilitous. So in answer to your question if its glandualr fever theres not much except take pain killers. |
