What is Glandular fever? A viral illness also known as infectious mononucleosis or 'mono'. It can occur at any age but is commonest among teenagers. It is spread by close contact and is also known as 'the kissing disease' for obvious reasons. The kissing disease...old wives tale, they said thats how you caught it, but i had it when i was 10, and believe you me i never kised anyone then! when you get an infection in the glands and it makes you feel sick,sore throat, head ache, high temperature you need to see a doctor if you have it to get some medication and rest drinking plenty of water. its not very nice its kind of like flu really Glandular fever is an viral infection, it used to be known as the kissing decease, as many people in their late teens catch the infection.
