Have you been smoking the funny tobacco? dude.. and did you start smoking it in September?

I had glandular fever when i was younger. Sorry to tell you this but i didnt get back to normal for about six months

Hi I had it a couple of years ago and it wiped me out totally, didnt get out of bed for about a week. Best part is though every time you feel a little run down or catch a cold your glands may swell again and you feel worse than you should. It really does give your body a good beating. I think I had a blood test when I had it and told just to stay in bed until I felt better. Lots of orange juice, chicken soup and daytime tv you will feel better in no time. If not go see your doc.

Both my daughters had it when aged 9 and 10 so far both of them have had a re-occurance (more than once) and one missed one year of schooling and the other 2 years of schooling. My advice -read your bodies signs- if you are tired then rest don't over do things however do some exercise gentle to begin with and stop if you feel tired or achey because your body is not ready for it yet swimming is ideal, steer clear of medicinal steroids the after affects e.g. weight gain, fatigue prolong the actual recovery and will make you feel even more depressed, Berries and easy to digest foods are good- less strain on the body apparently. aspirin helps but take care it is NOT advisable for people under 16 it can cause Rye's Syndrome. Most of all make the most of your good days and don't forget you will feel better eventually and if it does re-occur, the next time is not so bad and not for so long. In the meantime make sure everyone pampers you and brings you loads of gifts. I hope you feel better soon!

helloo
i had glangular fever last september, i was poorly for about 4 weeks before i went to the dr, i thort i had flu, he gave me a blood test and it came out as possitive on the test. everywhere hurt, my neck, my groin, and my throat, i've never had pain like it, i also caught Tonsilitus on top of it so while my body was trying to battle the glandular fever virus i was also on antibiotics for my tonsilitus. All i would suggest is go to the docter, get plenty of rest, I slept about 15-18 hours a day and get some painkillers from the doctor if the pain is really bad. Also holding a cool pack or some frozen pees up against ur glands in ur neck may help, it deff helped me, lots of fluid and relax and wait for your body to get better.
Be prepared tho to feel ruff for quite a while after, its now almost a year later and i still get tired easily and every cold i have my glands swell right back up again.
Hope you feel better soon xxxxxxxxxx
