Presumably, you are referring to infectious mononucleosis. Yes, certainly you might "faint" from mono, for various reasons -- most commonly from dehydration. Nevertheless, that is an alarming symptom and should be addressed by a doctor right away.

Interestingly, as an aside, a whole variety of strange neurologic changes occasionally occur from mono. My favorite is the "Alice in Wonderland syndrome" in which objects appear to be larger or smaller than they really are. Pretty freaky.
