My new puppy has Giardia. What type of early symptoms would humans see if they have it?

We wash hands well after cleaning his kennel or picking up stools. I have kids and I'm worried. Can a physician check humans early to see if they have it? Not sure what to do.

ya, a doctor could examine human stool to confirm giardia infection, for the symptoms, it is watery diarrhea , abdominal pain , tensmus. be sure that ur children don't play with the dog until it is completely healed , as they could contract the infection accidentally during their playing
