How to cure IBS ?

One patient had been 'diagnosed' as having IBS by a 'specialist".

Some 15 years later another old country doctor advised the patient that he had 'giardia', a stomach infection.

I know this is not a conspiracy, but why have 'stomach infections become 'diseases' with no cause and cure ?

For your information:
In the case of the patient he received a wide spectrum anti-biotic, an old drug, erthomycin, and or used a variety of herbal treatments for 'parasites' and found some success.

Celica Disease no cause no cure.
IBS no cause no cure.

Giardia, cause bacteria, cure yes !

It seems we have created 'diseases' with no cause and cure, rather than treat for a most probable cause : parasitic bacteria.

Please remember testing is not 100% accurate.

Probiotics, digestive enzymes, and enteric coated peppermint oil capsules have helped a number of IBS sufferers I have advised.
See Prescription For Natural Cures by Balch and Stengler, and/or
DIgestive Wellness by Elizabeth Lipski for a very informative and useful discussion of this condition. Good luck!

Giardia is a bacterial infection, unless it's resistant, it will probably respond to mycins.

IBS isn't giardia -- they're two different things.

IBS is internal -- it begins in the body, and the way that the body processes foods and drinks.

Giardia begins outside, it's a bacteria that isn't usually found in amounts sufficient to damage the body, inside the body.

Usually, treatment for IBS is something fun like increasing fiber intake and avoiding nuts/seeds/hulls.

Hi. I'd highly highly suggest the person be tested for Celiac Disease. IBS and giardia are common misdiagnosis (especially 15 plus years ago!!) for Celiac Disease. CD is an autoimmune disease affecting 1 in 133 ppl that causes a person to be unable to digest gluten, a protein in wheat, rye and barley. Symtpoms are wide and varied for each person.
Theo nly treatment is a gluten free diet.

I dont get your no cause no cure thing.
Celiac DOES have a cause. What are you trying to get, u keep posting these questiosn taht really go no where. What poitn are you trying to prove?
CD DOES have a 'cause" In order to have CD u must have these three factors (according to Dr Peter Green, a leading expert in CD)
1. The genetic predisposition for it, 97% of Celiac's have the genes for it.
2. To be exposed to Gluten. If u have the genes u can never have the symptoms triggered if u dont eat it.
3. A trigger. One can carry the genes and disease for years but SOMETHING must trigger, an infection, stress, pregnancy, testing, surgery, etc.
