Gestational diabetes question? |
If you have gestational diabetes and you are overweight, what are the chances of your baby being born premature? I had it with my last pregnancy 10 months ago, he was my fifth and I was overweight. He came out just as healthy as my other four and he was not premature. He was on the bigger side at 10 lbs 3 oz. I would not worry it's not as bad as it sounds. one in three, more often they are born late and are overweight. I'm overweight and I've got Gestational diabetes. I am the first child in my family to have kids, so I only had my mother's experience to rely on. She was 5'8" 125, and had 4 of 6 kids premature (2 died within days of birth). |
