Gestational Diabetes. BS have been really high last two weeks and I am feeling very ill.?

Controlled only by diet and exercise. I am doing less exercise since I was laid off work and now I am so fatigued and miserable ( 37 weeks pregnant) that I can't do much excercise
at home. My vision is blurry, and now getting 2-3 headaches per day very nauseated and vomiting, shaky and plain tired. I am waiting call from dr. but I want to to know what happens if BS gets too high its running about 190-230 no matter if I eat or not? What should I do what will happen? I was diagnosed about a month ago and it is just getting worse for me any ideas?

You better be careful... I dont know about Diabetes, but it sound like you have Preclamsia (not sure if that is spelled correctly)

My daughter had all your sypmtoms and her gyno kept diagnosing her wrong. We finally ended up in Barnes Jewish Hospital where they found she had Preclampsia.

We had to stay with relative for the last 2 months she was pregnant because she couldn't be more than 20 min away from the hospital.

She still delivered a ;month early even with all the bed rest and medicine.

This is very dangerous for you and you baby. Make sure they are treating for the right thing and even if it is diabetes, sounds like its getting out of control. Make them pay attention.

My daughter was so dehydrated, shaky, itchy and high blood pressure that they were seeing her once a week, she didn't make it to her due date, she was so bad on her last weeks visit they put her in and induced laber that day. They could hardly get an IV in her arm.

Not trying to scare you, but I had no idea how dangerous this was until her. I came very close to losing her and the baby. Get it checked out. Good luck.

The doctor will probably put you on insulin.... high BS will make your baby be larger than normal....
