I have immunity (blood work shows) to chicken pox but I don't remember having it??

Any R.N's or docs ever heard of this? I remember my brother had it is it possible I had a mild case at the same time?? Both my parents are deceased so there isn't anyone to ask. I do remember my mother telling me I had the German Measles as an infant but that would be different right??

You had a sub-clinical infection. i.e. you were exposed to the disease, but your body made antibodies to the virus and destroyed it before you could have the disease. Those antibodies are still persisting in your body and protecting you from the virus.

Yes, you were probably too young to recall.

Dont worry , if you have immunity ,, you are protected against chicken pox.

Many children have extremely mild form of chicken pox, so it doesn't get diagnosed at all. If your brother had it, probably you had it too. German measles is rubella, it is different from chicken pox.

Same here. My titer is positive altho I've never had an outbreak. Most likely exposure was when I was in my 20s. My brother in his 20s and sis in her 20s live on their own. I had visited with each shortly before their outbreaks! I think some are just more immune to the virus!

Yes it is completely possible you had a very mild case. I myself had 2 mild cases of chicken poxs, which had the dr's baffled but it is possible & rare.

scurvy is caused by a severe lack of vitamin C. I'd proceed as if it were German Measles to be on the safe side.
