Any ideas?

11 yr old daughter has rash on back of neck and rest of body including behind ears. itchy and painful on touch. bit of a temperature (she tells me she is cold despite heating being on), off food (unlike her usual self). Doctor didnt know if it was german measles, scurvey (whatever that is) or a simple allergic reaction (and no I havent changed food, washing powder, soap etc). My mum is a teacher and is sure it is german measles - it is going round the schools - and yes my kids did have the mmr but that didnt stop them having mumps!
Thing is, im a student working with young people who are classed as being vulnerable and can pick up and be really ill if they get these sort of things - so I really need to know.

By the way - she lives on fruit and veg (yes - a kid who hates chocolate and sweets!) so vit c will/should be no problem!

scurvy is caused by a severe lack of vitamin C. I'd proceed as if it were German Measles to be on the safe side.

go to a better doctor

scurvy isn't that vit c deficiency?

Go back to the doctors and get a diagnosis

take her to a different doctor so you can get the correct answer to what she has, you don't want to spread it around any more and what if it is not german measles, you need to know. good luck

When i had German Measles,,,i could see a lot of pinkish colour from my eyes,,,i hope this can help,,,,

doctors now if you don't i going to complain go now

I think your Dr. meant scabies not scurvy.
