Genital herpes. . . . . . . . . .??? |
i have a friend who has genital herpes and i was just wondering if like touching the things that he touches or just touching him is it possible that i can get it? or is it only transmitted through sex? My docotor told me you can get it from touching. It was from contact also I think you already have it, because it can be transmitted by just knowing someone who has it. It's a Sexually Transmitted Disease. Don't be afraid to touch anything after him. depends on how much he washes his hands after he goes to the bathroom. I hope it is a lot. I doubt that the virus will live on doorknobs or the such but I would sure be on the safe side since there is no cure for it. If your friend has open sores, and they touch it, don't wash their hands, and you come in contact *directly or indirectly* with his hands, then you can get it... Touching their open sores is a pretty sure-fire way to get it... and Directly toung a closed sore is tempting a line you prob. shouldn't tip-toe down. *You can't get it from knowing someone, the person above is just ignorant* It'd be highly unlikely to get it from touching him or anything else he touches. I mean unless he's up there playing with himself while he has an outbreak and rubs hands on an open sore you have..........maybe. But No, it's transmitted by sex only. DEAR HUMAN You can only get this disease by sexual contact or kissing; not by touching his things or touching him (not his genitals). This virus does not survive outside the body for long. It is found in the mucus membranes of the genitals and mouth (in the lips too). You can only contract Gential Herpes through skin to skin contact and if you exchange bodily fluids, have unprotected sex then yes you can contract Herpes. Don't be afraid to touch anything after him because you won't catch it that way. Are people really as ignorant as some of these answers?? I don't know, but if you get it, you should definately change from SEXY to ITCHY. |
