Can i get genital herpes like that? and also can you have symptoms of herpes but no sores? because sometimes i feel a tingling sensation when i pee, but no sores. and i never had sex before. somebody help

It is possible to do this, but highly unlikely. It is known as auto-innoculation.

Yes, the herpes virus you have orally (probably hsv-1) can also infect the gential and cause genital hepres, and you should be aware of this when you become sexually active if you ever give a girl oral sex, because if they don't get cold sores it is easy for them to catch genital herpes from receiving oral sex from you, even if you do not have a cold sore on your mouth at the time, as it can be passed without symptoms. I caught genital herpes from receiving oral sex from a boyfriend who got cold sores- he didn't have one at the time.

The reason it is highly unlikely that you will transfer it to your own genitals is because you already have the virus in another part of your body. This means that your body recognises the virus and produces antibodies to fight it off. It is rare to catch it in a second location, ie genitally when you already have an oral infection.

However, it can happen, if your immune system isn't so good, if you have caught cold sores for the first time recently, or if you touch a cold sore directly because then you are transfering lasrge quantities of the virus. That doesn't mean that it will happen, but that it is possible. So do wash your hands before touching your penis!

I sincerely doubt your tingling has anything at all to do with genital herpes though.

While I doubt that the tingling sensation is because of herpes, you can have herpes with no symptoms. You can be a carrier of the disease but just not break out for awhile. People who actually have genital herpes can spread it to someone else even if they don't have any sores, it's because of viral shedding. Anyway to answer your question, yes, you can spread herpes from your mouth to your genitals and vice versa. I wouldn't worry about it too much but keep an eye on your penis and if you see anything out of the ordinary then go ahead and get it checked out by your doctor. Just don't have sex or at least unprotected sex until you are sure that you haven't spread it.

It is very unlikely that the cold sore on your face can give you genital herpes. For that to occur, the strain of herpes on your face would need to be the same strain as the one for genital herpes.
The tingling sensation when you pee could be caused by any number of reasons. You may have a urinary tract infection or a bacterial infection from not washing your hand inbetween touching your mouth and your penis. You have a lot of bacterial on your face and hands (in particular, many bacteria reside on our fingernails).

There is a possibility ofa cold sore being transferred to the genitals by touch or oral sex. You should your Dr. about ypur tingling sensation when you pee. Good luck

Cold sores are caused by one type of herpes virus (HSV-1) and genital herpes is usually caused by HSV-2. It is possible to pass HSV-1 to the genitals and to pass HSV-2 from the genitals to to the oral area.

Try not to worry too much. The chance of you accidentally spreading your cold sore HSV-1 to your penis, and having it take hold there to produce a recurrent outbreak is pretty small.

Many, many people get recurring cold sores and never have a problem with genital herpes ... and, yes, they all touch their genitals too, and aren't always thinking about sterilizing their hands because they have a cold sore blister!

To be on the safe side, you should remember to be careful when you have a cold sore, but don't panic that you are going to have a problem with genital herpes.
