Can genital herpes be spread from fingers to mouith?

what i mean is if you have genital herpes hsv2 and you touch a outbreak and 30 minutes later you forget to wash hands and you feed a child with that hand and that child mouth touch your finger, can you give genital herpes to that child?

Yes it can. While genital herpes is usually caused by HSV 2 and cold sores are caused by HSV 1, you can get one from the other.

my doctor who is a gnecologist said no so thanks for your information Report It

No, this is a different kind of herpes. Herpes is an interesting virus - it has an oral and a genital form, apparently is the cause of chicken pox, and causes shingles. Herpes likes moist surfaces - it probably couldn't survive for 30 minutes in the open air on a finger. But it doesn't hurt to wash your hands anyway.

genital herpes is also called 2nd type or type 2 of herpes simplex.
u can just give it to someone if ur having a direct contact with that person

Yes it can be spread from fingers to mouth. Are you totally dim witted not to wash your hands after touching an active area? Here is a site you need to read:
http://www.herpes.com/hsv1-2.html

and yes, herpes remains viable for quite some time after touching an open ulcer (this is when the viral load is highest). I hope you do not have any open cuts on your hand as you can get Herpes Whitlow (very painful) . Also, please remember that the virus can remain viable on inanimate surfaces for over 8 hours (spoons, cups, etc.). Here is a link to a study:

From now on, WASH YOUR HANDS or use some of that antibacterial alch. based stuff. The best hope is that you touched enough objects to spread the virus around so the load to the child was fairly low. Nevermind that it is all over the place now, though.
And by the way, NEVER give or prep food without washing your hands, especially to a child.

Yes, Please carefully.

Genital herpes is spread easily. The virus from contact with an infected person can enter your body through a break in your skin or through the skin of your mouth, penis or vagina, urinary tract opening, cervix or anus.
