hey everyonee Polydactyly is a genetic disorder that causes people to have 6 fingers on a hand or foot instead of 5. Sometimes they have 6 fingers/toes on both hands and both feet. huntington's disease, tay sachs, cystic fibrosis, von willibrand's, hemophillia, there are tons.. Huntington's Disease is both. The gene for it has been identified. Since it runs in families the individuals have to decide whether to test for it or not. What's so terrible about the disease is that it doesn't show up until the 40's or 50's and by then many with the gene have had children. Check out the symptoms on the internet. A friend's mother had the disease; she never left the house & the shades were drawn 24/7. My friend inherited it and is now in a nursing home.
