What level genetic disorder is colorblindness?

Meaning in (levels) I mean
Level 1:Single gene disorder
Level 2:Chromosome Abnormalities
Level 3:Multifactorial Disorders

I pick level one, but some evidence seems to indicate that color *vision* is a mutation away from when *all* primates were colorblind. Also, one study found that 'colorblind' monkeys ate better, apparently because they were less distracted by colors when hunting bugs to eat.

Level 1, I believe. It's a recessive trait inherited on the x chromosome, so if you are a boy you need only 1 colorblindness chromosome, while if you're a girl you need 2.

I would have said Level 1. But I'm not so sure any more. I am red/green color blind and the father of my son was not. My son is not color blind in any way. So....I think it may be Level 3. There are so few women identified as being color blind, that it may not even be studied all that well in that context.
