-What's your main thought process? Sorry to hear it. I use self talk to just breathe and get through the moment. If I can..I will sleep and usually can get over it eventually. I know professionals will offer assistance usually in diagnosis, therapy, and or pills. The self talk is the start and then I breathe long and slow and even get to a place I feel safe or at least out of the way.Like all things, it eventually passes..for a time. Hope you find some answers that help. Medicine is often the only recourse. However, depending on your age, if you are a teen, then try sleeping longer hours at night and getting up early. Eat healthy foods and drink plenty of water. Do not drink alcohol or caffeine. Try breathing exercises. If this does not work, then you may need medication. I have GAD and when I start getting anxious about something, it just builds and builds until I have a panic attack. I have just started seeking treatment for it, which includes medication for depression and anxiety and I will also be going to counseling. I think that the best things to do are staying busy when you feel the anxiety building and deep breathing. I'm on medication. I had Anxiety Disorder since I was three. |
