Generalized Anxiety Disorder!!???

1.) A 38 year old man has been increasingly anxious about his job in a large manufacturing company. He feels that he has been passed over for a promotion several times. The patient is preoccupied with many small events and conversations that have occurred at work during the year and worries how his superiors will interpret them. He finds it difficult to control his worrying. During the day at work he feels restless and edgy. At home, he is irritable and has difficulty sleeping. His wife asks him about work, but he doesn鈥檛 want to talk about it.

It's a psychology paper example that i have to use in my paper, so I need to find out what disorder does he have

He may not have any sort of disorder, but he's well on his way to one - called a heart attack. The man is under tremendous stress. From your description, much of that is self-imposed. All that friends and family can do is urge him to lighten up and accept that his job is not the be-all and the end-all and that a guy sometimes needs to just say "Screw it, I'm gonna go have a beer and go fishing!" Seriously - I've had enough guys just like him brought to my emergency room in the middle of an acute coronary - and too many of 'em never walk outa there!

Talk to your wife first and have a discussion with your doctor
