Anyone know anything about Generalized Anxiety disorder, anyone on here ever had it? I have it, my doc told me it's basically too much stress at one time, and my brain freaks out. I've had it since I was a kid, I used to think I was dying, because my palms would get all sweaty, and my heart would beat really fast, and I'd want to pass out. I don't like taking prescription drugs, so I take StJohn's wort, and magnesium, together, they're actually proven to fight anxiety off. I've been taking the two three times every day for about a year, and I've been fine, it's also helped my depression. And of course, they are no side affects. the fear of having another panic attack can actually trigger another panic attack....wierd huh...kinda a catch 22. but there are triggers to onsets of anxiety, certain odors, tastes, situations that can trigger them...it's next to difficult but if you can locate your trigger (s) you might be able to avoid having them yes heard of it know a few friends that have it. Some deal with it in their own way and just avoid cetain things or certain situations. others take a pill for it. It is just an overwhelming feeling of being anxious. It can come from anything. GAD = excessive anxiety and worry, occurring more days than not for a period of at least 6 months, about a number of events or activities. The individual finds it hard to control the worry, and has at least 3 additional symptoms from a list including restlessness, being assily fatigured, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, and disturbed sleep. |
