I have OCD and Generalized anxiety disorder and I have a problem....read below.? |
The other night something said if you do a certain thing you will die of an asthma attack...I did it. I been having numerous panic attacks and worrying that I am gonna die because I can hardly breathe and have chest pain when I have them...is this bogus? Is this just associated with OCD and GAD? Should I worry or just relax. Please only answers with people who are experienced in the subject matter. Thanks. It sounds like part of the anxiety disorder. Have you seen a professional? Are you taking any medication? You really should see a professional. There are medications which won't make you feel goofy, yet will relieve the anxiety. Medication has come a long way in just the last ten years. There's no reason to suffer if you don't have to. With medication, you might not have to. You'll get through it. Just hang in there. It takes a while. Report It Dont worry, the fact you have OCD and GAD means that your fears are going to be irrational...there's nothing you can "do" to die of an asthma attack. When you start panicking just sit down, breathe deep and relax, and try talk to someone. |
