Question for sufferers of Generalized Anxiety Disorder and depression?

do you feel worse at certain times of the day? I feel wierd and fuzzy and all that when I wake up, anyone else get that?

Probably one of the reasons you feel this way in the morning is due to: trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. Usually people with GAD cannot shut off their brain and this causes insomnia or poor sleep quality. Here are some medications that are generally used in treatment of GAD; if you aren't on any treatment consult your family physician to determine the best treatment for you:

Buspirone 鈥?This anti-anxiety drug, known by the brand name Buspar, is generally considered to be the safest drug for chronic anxiety. Unlike the benzodiazepines, buspirone isn鈥檛 sedating or addictive. Although buspirone will take the edge off, it will not entirely eliminate anxiety. Buspirone typically takes at least two weeks before it has a therapeutic effect.
Benzodiazepines 鈥?These anti-anxiety drugs act very quickly (usually within 30 minutes to an hour). The rapid relief the benzodiazepines provide is a major benefit. But there are serious drawbacks as well. Benzodiazepines are addictive, and both physical and psychological dependence are common after more than a few weeks of continuous use. They are generally recommended only for severe, paralyzing episodes of anxiety. Common brand names include Xanax and Valium.
Antidepressants 鈥?A number of antidepressants are used in the treatment of GAD. Commonly used brands include Effexor, Paxil, Prozac, Tofranil, and Lexapro. The relief antidepressants provide for anxiety is not immediate, and the full effect isn鈥檛 felt for up to six weeks.

Yeah, I get that a lot.

If you're on medication you may need to change up. Sometimes that can be a side effect. If you're not on meds you may need to be on them. Try zoloft. It doesn't make you feel loopy and helps get you thru the day.

Some mornings I feel that way. Ask your doctor about Wellbutrin XL. I had to try a number of anti-depressants before finding one that works for me without feeling like I'm in a cloud s\all day. You might also want to look into getting a blue light.

Yes, very much so. Are you recieving treatment? If not, you need to. Mine worsens in public, and if I have to talk to people. Try to get medical help fast, if you haven't already

That's only an indirect effect of the disorder. It's the way that you are dealing with it that is creating the problem.
Try changing the times that you eat during the day to moderate and keep your blood sugar level even.
Exercise will always help lift the mood.
Moderate activity will stave off depression, while being stationary, not exercising but just parking it in front of the TV (or the computer!) will not help either.

Are you having weird dreams? Mine were very vivid and not scary, but strange...A lot of what you're experiencing results from not sleeping deep enough...Kinda like a cat who sleeps with it's ears pearched for impending danger..When you have stress hormones flowing through your body (anxiety), it even happens when you're sleeping, so you feel groggy and unrefreshed when you wake up...You're worries are being carried on into your sleep...I've learned a lot from this and it has to do with the way we think...Train yourself to live in the present moment at all times...It's hard work, but it's easier to worry isn't it? You can train your mind to think positively and live in the present...Work on it all the time, you'll find results in time, that's the whole key, be patient and you'll reverse the symptoms of anxiety and depression..It can take months to a couple of years in some people, but if you just take meds, you'll never be cured...And anxiety can be cured completely...

I feel depressed manily
when I am alone.
And yet -- i enjoy being alone,
its conforting to me.

Immediately when I wake I feel anxiety.
