I have gastroesophageal reflux diease and i want to know if there is anyway to prevent bad breath? |
For those of you who have GERDS too you know that one of the symptoms is bad breath I forgot to add that i take nexium twice a day and i don't chew gum with sorbital (it's an artificail sweetener) I also take carafate (it's like extra strength tums) Chewing gum will help, try sugarless.. it'll help reduce cavities. i know how you feel... definitely! well, i don't know if i have GERDS or not, but i'm starting to think i do... anyways, whenever i go to a movie theater, my mom sits next to me and she tells me that i have bad breath... i too worry a lot about the whole kissing thing. Report It The little spray bottles of Listerine! Best bet is to get the GERD under control - take Zantac-150 twice a day (check with your doctor first), and watch what you eat...lay off spicy, greasy foods and things like cauliflower or beans that cause a lot of gas. Don't eat peppermints (that makes GI problems worse) but try a fruity breath tic-tac or altoid. Make sure you et the cavities taken care of because that alone will cause bad breath whether you have GERD or not. And I hope that first kiss gives you goose bumps - don't ever forget it. Breathrx helps alot. It's found in most drug stores. this isn't directly relevant. but doesn't chewing gum encourage acid production. Shouldn't the pills be reducing the amount of acid, thereby removing the problem. You could always just use a breath mint, a BASIC breath mint. A few seeds of cardamon chewed for a brief while will clear your mouth of bad breath. Chew parsley leaves, which are sure to keep your breath fresh.
