Gastroenteritis? (the stomach bug or the stomach flu)? |
The other night I was vomiting every half hour or so. I'm guessing it was gastroentiritis, more commonly known as the stomach bug or the stomach flu. Start slowly with clear liquids (broth, cranberry/apple/grape juices, Gatorade, Pedialyte) to maintain hydration. Be sure to brush your teeth after vomiting; the stomach acid can etch the enamel of your teeth (not to mention the bad breath). Bananas, dry toast, ginger ale.I'd say maybe for the next 2 days after the vomiting has cleared. |
