Been sick, seemed to get better but now getting symptoms again. help!? |
I've had some gastroenteritis(stomach flu)it seemed to get better after my visit to the hospital to rehidrate and get some pills to settle my stomache( I can't read the nurses' writing of the name of the pills something starting with a p.) my sypmtom have returned and now I can only stomach fluids. this is my 7th day with this smocha ailment! I also feel sick when i smell certain foods(like tha steak my dad is eating right now) I doubt dramamine would work, if you have a stomach bug you just have to let it pass. As long as you're able to tolerate fluids (and you should drink lots of them!), there's not much else you can do. If you can't handle the fluids, however, call your doctor, you don't want to get dehydrated (as you already know by your hospital visit:). The nurse probably gave you promethazine, an anti-emetic, there's other meds available you can take as a suppository if it gets really bad. go back to the nurse who saw u and ask her what was the drug that she prescribed. I am just wondering if you have been prescribed with anti-emetics or medication for the sickness. if you have take it before you eat something. This will somehow help you eat without throwing up. Make sure to wait after 30 minutes after taking you anti-sickness medication to give the drug time to kick in. Aside from this, keep yourself hydrated to prevent dehydration. That is exactly what I had and I just got over it. What did was drink plenty of water. Even if it increased runs, i keep doing it because i do not want to get dehydrated. I have some vitamins that I take and one is Ginkgo biloba and several others. I also took AlkaSeltzer. It helped my with my heartburn. I hope you feel better. |
