What could be wrong?

For the last month I have been getting nauseaous after eating. I went to the dr when I first got really sick and they had told me I had a case of Viral Gastroenteritis, otherwise called the stomach flu, but now it's just an on going issue. I hate to spend the money to go to the dr again for for the stomach flu but I can't see that it last this long. Any thoughts?

I should mention there is no vomiting and I'm not eating any foods that are any different from my normal diet.
I also get a brief sharp on my right side if move a certain way on occasion when my stomach is upset. It's weird I know, which another reason I don't want to go to the dr. Half the time they make me feel like I'm making stuff up.

What you are describing could be an inflamed gall bladder. If your doctor pooh-poohs your concerns, it's time for a new doctor. You need a doc who will listen. Many doctors nowadays are so rushed that they don't have the time to really listen to a patient's concerns, and that can be very dangerous for the patient. Being nauseous after every meal, accompanied by right-side pain, is NOT normal.

Good for you. I really hope you can get to feeling better. Being sick or in pain takes such a toll on your spirit. Report It

Went to the doctor and she thinks it is acid reflux after we talked but she also thought it sounded like gallbladder too. If I'm not better on our follow up then we'll be doing an ultrasound to check for stones. Thanks again for the help. Report It

Could it be an ulcer or food allergy? Maybe you can keep a food journal and look for a pattern. http://www.fitday.com

You need to go to the doctor. If your body is not tolerating food, there is something wrong (besides the stomach flu) and you need to be keeping food down. As long as you are not vomiting you could try to wait it out a little longer, but a month is too long for a flu.

you might want to consider if its what you're eating...you could've developed a food allergy, or you might have irratable bowel syndrome...in both cases, you should see a doctor...in the mean time, try to take something like pepcid before eating...

check ur physican thats all.nothing else.
