Why my daughter of three years and half years old has high fever with any other symptom? |
My daughter develop 40.5 fever since yesterday . A fever can be a sign of an infection. High fevers can signal an infection. You should take her to the doctor. In the meantime, give her Tylenol (not aspirin) by the dosage recommended for her age on the bottle. children tolerate fevers rather well, but if her's goes any higher, I'm afraid you will have to take her to see a doctor. A really high temp indicates bacterial infection and needs antibiotics as you cannot build resistance to bacteria. my 2 year old and my 4 year old had the same thing last week...they ran high fever for about 2 days with no other symptoms!! the only thing you can do is wait it out and alternate tylenol and motrin!! its probably viral. if it last more than 3 days or symptoms get worse..call your pediatrician! Dito! If your child has a fever she should be examined by a doctor. She could be suffering from a number of things but most likely an infection since you say there are no outward symptoms. Please have her checked by a physician. That's a dangerous game to play with your daughter's health. If she has a persistent high fever, she could have pneumonia - sometimes there are very few other symptoms until it gets pretty advanced. |
