Stomach problems... anyone??

So I have a few issues with my stomach, I get a lot of heartburn when and when I do not eat, I wake up in the morning with the feelings of acidity in my stomach and for the past two weeks I get an odd pain in my stomach after I eat, like the food was tainted but it's not. I also get a problem when I drink alcohol [no beer, generally sweet liquor] and after my first or second drink I get a pain in my stomach like its tightening into a small ball, which usually goes away after about 20 minutes - it seems to happen all the time so I expect it now - though the other day after having one Smirnoff Raspberry drink, I felt the same pain then all of a sudden it felt like i had a hot flash, like fever and chills then I felt nausea and well, you know - then after I ate I felt better. It was the only time that happened. I'm no where close to an alcoholic and I don't know if they're tied in together. I was reading about gastroenteritis, acid reflux and gall stones but none seem to match my symptom

The acidity probably is acid reflux, try to start taking a pepcid in the morning when you get up and one before you go to bed. If it works, you know it was acid reflux. On the alcohol thing you probably have a problems with nitrates. I get the same thing when drinking wine, champagne, or any type of wine cooler. A lot of people get this. It's not dangerous or anything, but it is kind of painful. I have every stomach problem there is. You kind of start to learn what helps and what makes it all worse. With the nitrates sometimes if you eat a heavy meal w/lots of carbs, you won't get the pain as bad if at all. It sounds like there's a possibility of you having gastritis which is just an inflammation of the lining of your stomach. You get sharp/achy pains in your stomach. The pepcid should help with this, if not talk to your doctor about putting you on protonix for a few weeks. It'll heal it pretty quick.
Hope some of this helps, feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions. I might be able to help you out a little more. Good luck

see your doctor. It sounds like you have a stomach ulser.

Check with your Doctor and ask about Nexium = http://www.purplepill.com/ (it will help your stomach along with heartburn & acid reflux)....

If you are having "regularity issue" try Citrucel = http://www.citrucel.com/

I had similiar issues and those 2 worked best for me and unless anyone on here is a trained physician, you should definitely check with your doctor (Nexium is prescription only) quickly - best of luck!

It sound like you had what i had, allergic reaction to either alcohol, so I don't drink anymore. Also a reaction to sweet things. I high amount of sugar causes my stomach to hurt and cause occasional pain, so i cut my consumption of real sugary things out of my diet..
