My aunt is of middle age and has moving pain in her legs, feet, arms, and hands.?

Several doctors, including specialists have been consulted, but their anwers vary. Some say the pain is an effect of arthritis, while others assert that it is due to gastroenteritis. The pain is acute, and travels through her body, affecting one part for a time-varying from a few hours, to a few days-and then another. The affected area swells up, and the slightest touch or attempt to move it hurts her. I would be grateful if someone could advise me on what exactly is causing this pain, and what can cure it; or, at the very least, what kind of specialist to consult.

ask her to go to a vascular specialist, it sounds like it could be a circulation problem, they can do an echo gram on the vessels and tell right away

No one on the Internet can tell you what the problem is but perhaps I can offer a possible cause. Where I live there is a disease called Ross River Fever. It can give the same symptoms as you mentioned and will be hard to diagnose unless the doctor is familiar with it. Look it up on the Internet. I hope you find the cause, Also, try to find out what relieves the pain as this could be useful information for future doctors.

fibromyalgia is also a possibility - widespread pain is one of the main indicators of it. look for a map of fibromyalgia "tender points" (not trigger points) online - see if those match up where she hurts. rheumatologists are generally the specialists who diagnose this.
