What is the best way to regain weight, lost due to an illness?

My father has been treated for Gastric Cancer. A top portion of his stomach was removed and the bottom portion of the esophagus.

Lot of green vegetables as they contain the vitamins & iron that you need
Good serves of dairy per day
fresh fruit & nuts
a Really good multi vitiman with everything in it
Vit c 1000MG
Being happy and stress free as much as possible
if your father is having trouble shawolling a broth made with vegetables and chicken maybe meat can be pururred in a blender. Good luck and all the best for you and your dad, hope he improves really quickly

When I had Colon Cancer, I lost my appitite.

After my Surgery, I weighed 142 pounds, my normal weight was 175.

I was told to eat high protine foods, drink plenty of Ensure Plus, eat if you can a balanced diet.

Become active again, seek Spiritual Guidance.

Join a Support Group.

first 3 meals a day and small breaks with snacks in between
second, milk and banana combination.....banana shake or chocolate milk with 2 bananas
third, juices al kinds all colors increases digestion and absorption of nutrients
fourth, nuts all sorts....cashews hav lots of fats but i dunno how good are they after an opperation....hazelnuts are fine for that matter
lots of water therapy
lots of care and love
