Gastric Bypass, has anyone ever gain the weight back? |
even after they had the gastric bypass? Personal experience or stories to tell. Just curious, thanks I knew a man who had Gastric Bypass and thought that was the answer to all his questions. He didnt change his eating habbits or exercise to accomodate his new body and soon started gaining all the weight back. The biggest waste of money I've ever seen. Yes they have. you see when somebody was already overweight it gives them a higher risk of gianing the weight back. In some cases people can gain the weight back and more. I have heard of people gaining 400 to 500 pounds back within 2 years. I am not trying to discourage you of you are thinkig of getting the surgery. All I a saying is that you need to incorperate normal healthy desicions into your lifestlye also I had my surgery 3 1/2 yrs. ago and haven't added a single pound. I fluctuate 4-5lbs. I do know people who have put a significant amount back on - It's a decision you have to make.....eat what you should and leave the crap alone. The only things I have problem with is fried - my body will not accept any; ice cream - just get nauseated, so to me it's not worth that. Rich foods at times is hard to deal with. But really, most stuff I can eat - just never alot. My husband laughs and says I don't eat, I just graze all day. I have never regretted having the surgery for one minute - It's the best thing I've ever done for myself. |
