Ganglion Cyst Removal Cost/?

I have a ganglion cyst well at least that what the doctor think it is. They have to put me a sleep because they have to someother stuff with the bone(wrist) that the ganglion cyst is near. How much could i be looking at? Do i have to pay for the general anesthesia?

It was like this since april and it is gettin bigger...and the blood flow isnt normal...i go for surgery in a week or so...How much is the doctor bill going to be? Anyone ever had this done before. How much did it cost? They tried draining to 3-4 times but it was too hard and thick. Anyone ever had this done. How much did it cost?.Hopefully no more than 500 bucks.

Whoa, be careful there. Sounds like someone wants to make
a chunk of money off of you. And I'll tell you why.
Years ago when we were living in a townhouse style of apt.
in Phoenix, my husband fell on the stairs, and went down
hard on the butt of his hand, that he landed on. He went down
with both palms down, but only the right one got more impact.
Well the next day he had a swelling and increased pain. And
so he wrapped it in an ace bandage. Next day it was worse,
so he got in to see a doctor at an emergency care clinic.
This doctor knew just what to do. But it wasn't pleasant. He
didn't even give something for pain. He took a small hammer
and whacked the cyst dead on, and flattened it. I don't think
he even tried to drain it first. Or maybe they can't be drained.
All I know is that when he came home the lump was gone,
and he had another wrist wrap on his wrist. The cyst never
returned either. There was no surgery and no more of a cost
than an office call. He mentioned this procedure to another
doctor later on, when he was seeing someone for something
else, and that doctor verified that was the most common
procedure for that type of cyst. Just whack it hard and it will
break open and disolve or whatever it does. There's no more
evidence anyway. So rediculous as this may sound, it was the
right thing for the doctor to do, and there was no repercussions or anything.
So I'd advise you to see another doctor for another remedy
and prognosis/evaluation. You can avoid needless surgery.
Lots of doctors like the experience and the more hefty pay
for surgery. But I'm sure you don't really need it. Most of us
take the doctors words for everything. I have learned to
question and not accept everything I'm told. Especially at the
dentists LOL. But that's another story :).
Maybe there's an urgency care clinic in your area where
you can go for a second opinion for your wrist. Tell them that
is what you came in for. As it should be a simple procedure
and not some long and involved surgery, that might make
things worse for you later, if he messes up. Life has taught
me not to be someones guinea pig. So you owe it to yourself
to see someone else. You can always have surgery anytime.
