Painful Ganglion Cyst in wrist? |
ive had this cyst in my right hand for awhile now. ive showed the doc & she said it was just a ganglion cyst & was harmless but i could get it removed if i wanted to. seeing its not meant to be harmful i thought id just leave it but recently it has been becoming quite painful. last night it was the most painful its ever been and then it changed shape. it seemed to doubled in size in about an hour! but then this morning its not very noticeable at all... (but still hurts a bit) you can still feel it but it seems to have gotten wider but flatter. could it have busted by itself?? Don't do it yourself, its super simple to have it removed. I had the same problem, my doctor gave me an injection of steroids and synvisc (not sure how its spelled)...I was better in a matter of hours and that was 4 months ago..I havent hade any problems since. I also had that problem where it changes shape or gets bigger. try and schedule the injection with your doctor when its gets bigger because its easier for them to find it and inject it right if they can see it really well. Mine was about the size of a walnut when it really hurt I had a ganglion cyst on my left wrist for 20yrs finally had it surgically removed, it has been 7 weeks post op, and my wrist it still quite sore and still can't load it up at all. okay.. i had a ganglion cyst. had it drained. it came back. i had it sergically removed. it came back. not it hurts like a f***er! so i know how you feel. Report It My wife had hers taken off 2 wks. ago on her left wrist, 4 stitches and it is still sore. i know this sounds bad and im not saying for you to do it but i get the same thing and i just slam it on something hard it hurts like a b@#ch but in a few hours its gone. and im the biggest baby EVER but it helps me. |
