What color is the ganglion cyst fluid? |
i have an annoying ganglion cyst on my writs, and i got to thinking, what color is the fluid? It's rather clear, you can save yourself some money by avoiding surgery, and popping the cyst yourself. We paid for a daughter to have it removed, it came back as the doctor expected it would, so he suggested this. Take a hard bound book, of reasonable weight. Lay your hand down with the cyst being up, take the book or have someone else take it, and you simply smash the book down on the cyst, as hard as you can. The cyst will break. In our experience, it didn't come back, wish we would have done it the first time, could've saved a few thousand dollars. Try it, it didn't hurt her at all, she just giggled(I think she was nervous) Usually it is clear-like plain gelatin. I have had some be grayish-white as well. It is very hard to drain with a needle because the fluid is so thick. I have had a ganglion cyst-it went away by itself. I have drained a few in my practice and that's what I've seen. |

Its from flailing your arms around too much when you walk ...you didn't mention whether if it was surgically removed or aspirated with a needle. if it was drained/aspirated with a needle, it has about a 50% chance of recurring because ganglions are sac...
