Ganglion cyst or arthritis? |
hello. i notice that when i bend my right hand down, there is a lump on my wrist. it's pretty flat and to anybody but me would probably be unnoticeable. sometimes it hurts when i bend my wrist around, and when i push on it it's a bit tender. it's not squishy, either. is it arthritis or is it a cyst? what's the difference. also, my grip strength is not affected, and if i don't move the wrist or touch the lump, there is usually no pain. Must become aware, there are 9 little bones in the wrist. If there is tenderness or motion pain is pretty suggestive that at least one of those bones is not sitting in its proper position.. if this takes place, there is also a bit of swelling within the capsule, adding a bit more restriction. That little bone can be pushed back into place and walla..feels better.. is common problem in carpal tunnel syndrome, and is easily taken care of by a doctor of Chiropractic. My daughter has a ganglion cyst not long ago. It just went away on it's own. It didn't cause her any pain. |
