I have "wrist ganglion cyst" on my right hand wrist. Does anyone know how to remove it without the surgery? How long have you had it? Frequently, the cysts will disappear over time. In cases of small cysts that do not cause other symptoms, no other treatment is necessary. If surgery was recommended by your orthopedic surgeon, it might be the best course of action. You can't; however, I had a cyst in my foot and it went away on its own. There really isn't a way to get rid of them without surgery. However, many do go away on their own. Don't try this... but I saw this on America's Funniest Home Videos the other day. A guy with a ganglion cyst on his wrist had his friend forcefully dropped a large heavy book on it and it dispersed the fluid, making it go away. The guy told his friend to do it with very little warning. Mid sentence, his friend throws the book on his wrist and the guy screamed. It worked though... and it was pretty entertaining! Hi there~~Unfortunately having Ganglia Cysts in the wrist/hand area is no fun...they cause pain, numbness, tingling, etc. (is it in the inner wrist/hand above the thumb appearing to come out of the joint/bone?) Dropping a book on it will not work as they are a single cell cyst and they'll grow right back, not to mention the strong possibility of doing nerve damage, breaking a bone, etc. Geez!! Also, fluid removal using a large bore syringe and refilling it with Steroidal drugs also Does Not Work, UGH!! I had one in each hand as described above..surgery is the only successful procedure I am aware of ~~The surgery is not bad(Very small incision) and well worth it in the long run as far as I'm concerned..I went through a lot in an attempt to avoid the surgical procedure ~~ My Best to You |
