When you have a ganglion cyst Can you actually see the liquid in it? Or is it just a lump?

It is like a hard lump. You only see the liquid if you have an ultrasound on it.

Yes, but why would you want to? It's just a ball of rough tissue like string that binds together forming a hollow ball like object. It has a striated surface that opaque (hard to see through) and isn't very fun to feel. Nasty.

I had one on my arm right where you bend your wrist, and it was just a bump. I couldn't see the liquid in it. I did see the liquid though when I went to the doctor and she inserted a needle and sucked all the liquid out. It looked a little bloody too. It wasn't painful though and felt like a relief to get that stuff out of there!! I know, I know, too much information!!!!!
