Gambling adiction, HELP???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? |
My sister is adicted to gambling. She took step one and admitted to having a problem some months ago. We gave her many tools to overcome her problem, tools as psycho therapy, psychistrist who gave her meds, Gamblers Anonimous, a spiritual path, and everything seemed to go well, but a few months ago she had a relapse and is still not done with it. Now she is in denial again, her 2 kids are left alone all day while she spends every penny she can get (lying to other people) at the f****** bingo halls, and I recently found out she has been having an affair with an exboyfriend who is giving her loads of money to support her adiction. Addiction of any sort is tough on family and loved ones. 1-800-GAMBLER Find her a new hobbie, preferably outside, running cycling and stuff like that, you could go with her. But its very hard to overcome so will need to combine with other solutions if you know that she is doing and she is not going to admit it..again then your going to have to go and tell your family. and if you know then do something tell her to stop give her no choice. WELLL ????????????????????????????????????????... sorry Get yourself out of her life. People have to be over 18 or 21 to gamble, so she's an adult. Distance yourself. I know one way ....call the police and tell them that she is leaving her children alone all day. She will be charged with "neglect"...could even lose her kids! Is she married? I've played some bingo myself, and I have also been a debt collection office manager so I know the next step...it's writing nsf checks in order to play. Just wait...if you don't report her for the kid's sake, things will get much worse. Check fraud is serious. |
