I dont want to end up a gambling addict?

i like 2 bet on anything i play lottery and scratch cards. and if theres any around fruit machines and if i can get someone 2 go betting shop for me then also the horses. i would also play cards and backgammon if i had money to but im 15 so i cant at the moment. i was going to get a scratch card today but i never because the shop was too crowded i stopped myself and realised i might aswell throw my money away than get a scratch card but i am still really wanting one and distracting myself from it.........how can i not have this turn into a problem when im older. 1 of my brothers is a alcoholic and 1 is a drug addict i dont want to be the gambling addict one =(

Blimey! sounds like your family have got addictive personalities. You're only 15, believe me gambling will ruin your life. Seek counselling. I work for the psychiatric department of a major hospital and I have worked with people who counsel those with gambling problems. Gambling addiction as any addiction can destroy your life. It's good to hear that at the age of 15 you can see this becoming a problem. Please get help now.....Good luck and remember, West Ham United are the best addiction, football's my drug of choice.

you need to stop thinking about it and maybe you won't do it so much. you obviously think you have a problem or you wouldn't be questioning it. you should also visit some gambles anonymous websites or call hot-line. get some inside on what they go though,

It sounds like you're on your way; only 15 and can't be distracted from it???? You need to get a hobby; join a club at school, play sports, be part of a group...something to preoccupy yourself from gambling. It may work out for you every now and then winning a few bucks here and there, but in the long run you're going to end up broke before you're even of the legal gambling age!!!
