Medicine to control gambling?

Im a compulsive gambler. Its destroying my life, i've tried everything and im not getting better. Is there anything i can take to curb the urges. please help. Im at the end of my rope.

Cymbalta, an antidepressant, helps with compulsions. Also, Strattera, a non-amphetamine medicine for adhd, should help. Both of these medicines take a couple of weeks to get used to.

There is no medication that can cure you. You have to see a psych who will work with you and get you out of this problem.

Dopamine underlies all addictions, ask your doctor for some medications that could block dopamine receptors or slow them down.

there is no such medicine that can solve your problem..just find a hobby will ya...

Marijuana may help you. Talk to your doctor about it. Its a great medicine.

In fact, there is a really good medicine for your condition and at present you're getting pretty good doses of it.... it's called "Reality"..... As in welcome to the reality of your choices in life. It's so strange how we want the rewards but not the consequences of our behavior. And when it's time to pay the devil his due, we want a quick bail out.... the old magic pill thing. All that's gonna do is set you free to return to what you were doing in the past.....

I believe in the old fashion power of redemption through suffering for one's sins (Not from the religious point of view here).
