Problem with gambling?

My friend is addicted to pub slot machines. He can lose 拢100 a night in these things and I think that he has a serious problem. Plus he`s always skint and asking to borrow money off everyone and I feel bad saying no.

What can I do to make him realise what a waste of money they are?

The first thing you have to do is stop loaning him money...i know its hard but you got to draw the line...its ok to play the pub slots but try and get him to only spend 拢20 a night or even 拢40 try to get him to cut back on it...there the for entertainment only mainly. BUt in the end he has to be the one to relize where he's going..you can show him the door but he has to walk through

Let him go bankrupt. My brother is a gambling addict and is addicted to those machines. I've talked myself blue in the face and gotten an ulcer out of worrying. He's been to gamblers anonymous and there are not enough people there for him to go back. Plus, its a useless. He gambles more, when he goes there, because all they talk is about gambling.

Your friend needs other interests to occupy his time. The sooner he goes broke, the sooner he'll be out of denial. It's sad, but even the self exclusion programs do not work.

I personally think all Casinos and pubs should require patrons to show driver licences at the door. This would solve problem gamblers and drinkers.
