I have quit smoking, quit gambling ,why can't I quit overeating ? Well smoking and gambling can be avoided. You can choose to stay away from those who smoke, sit in the non-smoking sections at restaurants, etc. You can also stay out of casinos. Because you have to eat to live. Therefore it's necessary to deal with food everyday unlike gambling or smoking which you can avoid completely. i did the same. it's almost like i replaced my addiction with cigarettes with food. i gained about ten pounds. after a while like that, i changed my eating habit. Because you quit smoking. Often overeating is due to emotinal eating. Basically eating makes us feel better. So it is important to identify when you out of comfort of hunger. Our if you have alot of different foods to choose from just get only a spoon full of it all and it will get you full but not stuffed. |
