Why does gallstones cause gastric pain? |
Does having stones in the gall bladder cause the oversecretion of acids in the stomach? If it doesn't, how come people who have gallstones always complain of gastric pain? Gallstone does not cause gastric pain.The pain described in gallstone associated pain is colicky pain,which is localised to right hypochondriac area of abdomen(To the right of your stomach).The pain in gastritis is described as burning pain,unlike colicky pain in gallstone. The answer in no way answred the question. Gallstones are calcified pieces that can block the common bile duct which is downstream from the stomache in the small intestine.
