Can gallstones return with no gallbladder?

This sounds so silly, I had gallstones in 2003, and had my gallbladder removed. Today Ive felt the slightly same feeling I had when I had my gallstone attacks the first time....

I had my gallbladder out many years ago...The stones were bad and had moved all through my system so it was many hours in the operating room..anyways, afterwards...they had to do some xrays to make sure they had gotten all the stones...the doctor declared me stone-free but did tell me that yes, they can return ...usually forming in the bile duct...luckily, that hasnt happened

You're right - it does sound silly. But gallstones cannot return.

No they can't. It is probably gas or something else. But it most definately can't be gallstones鈾?/div>

No. Without the gall bladder to hold them there is no where for them to go. You might have a bladder infection, so you should definitely go get checked out.

No. You have to have a gallbladder to have gallstones.

I think yes, something can plug up your biliary duct. Maybe they are not called gallstone, but they are something.

It DOES NOT sound silly to me. I had my Gallbladder remover is 2002. What you are feeling are called Phantom Attacks. Every person Ih ave ever spoke with who has had thier GB removed says they feel the same thing. I get them once every few months and it feels exactly like it did when I had my gallstones. Which doesnt feel to good! I asked my surgeon if he has ever heard of this and he said Oh Yes! It is normal. So yes you are having what is called phantom pains and no you do no have Gallstones! I hope this helped. Take Care :)

no.. they cant come back.. maybe you have a kidney stone?

you can have problems in your common duct,i have had problems that felt like an gall bladder attack,,no gall bladder though, You need an ultra sound or xray. could be liver,,pancreatic,,anything,,Don't mean to offend but I'm heavy ,they didn't believe it was gall bladder they kept telling me it was in the wrong place,,finally after months of treatment , one Dr looked at me when i walked in and said by 4 pm u will be in the hospital getting removed,,4;15 i passed out from pain, next day they scheduled surgery,,thank goodness one Dr had good sense,
