Anyone know about gallstones?

i just found out today that i have to get my gallbladder removed because i have gallstones..i was just wondering if anyone who has experienced this or knows someone who experienced this could tell me what is good to eat and not so good to eat? i cant stand to have another gallbladder attack, thanks!

2 of my friends just had their gallbladder out and I was amazed at how wonderful they looked and felt afterward. They both said the surgery was not bad. They were in and out the same day. One showed me the incisions. They were 3 small holes in her abdomen that looked to me like they would heal perfectly.

One girl went back to work the next week but she probably could have gone back sooner as she felt so good. I spoke with both the day after surgery and they were fine. No pain.

They are both thrilled that they won't have to deal with another attack which they say is far worse. One girl lost like 20 lbs just from modifying her diet before and after the surgery. No fatty food or roughage I think she said.

Good luck. It will be fine.

my mom had gallstones, but she had them removed.

No greasy food. Yes i had an experience two weeks ago with my friend. I had to help her through it. Basically i was her at home nurse...

I had mine removed in 2001 they told me not to eat spicy and do not eat lettus or corn, nuts they do not digest eat non greasy it is hard but even after it is taken out you still will not be able to eat these things...

Low fat foods and nothing greasy...
