Do u know if gallstones would cause your liver count to be higher?

my grandfather's liver count was 1000 now they have gotten it down to 750. I was just wondering if the gallstones they also found would cause the change in liver count.

Hmm! Gallstones can cause abnormal liver tests when they cause obstruction of the bile ducts. However, it would be very unusual for this to cause liver tests to go into the thousands like in the case of your grandfather. In such cases I would consider the possibility of a viral hepatitis, a drug induced hepatitis, or autoimmune hepatitis. I hope a liver specialist is seeing him!

yes. also, stress can caus your liver enzymes to be higher.
