HELP! Gallstones? |
i am having severe pain in my upper abdomen on my right side and it even goes around to my back. i ate a fairly greasy meal today, and have also had bad diarrhea since I ate. it times i also feel as if i have indigestion after a greasy meal. could this be Gallstones? Gallstone disease, biliary colic and cholecystitis are certainly up there as potential causes of your symptoms. Best way to go about the diagnosis is to see your doctor for a complete history and physical, and get some lab tests and an ultrasound exam. Better to go on an empty stomach in case they could get the ultrasound right away. The diarrhea, however, is not a typical symptom of gallstone disease. Reasons to worry and go to the ER include (but not limited to): You need to call a doctor not be getting answers here! Don't mess around, it's dangerous! CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!!! It's probably what you ate. If you still do not feel better do call your doctor, or the emergency room....they can give you some answers. yes i had the same kind of pain...i had tiny gallstones which are the worst kind to get because they are small and travel threw your ducts in your body and cause pain as they get stuck in the ducts..i had terrible pain i mean i cant even describe it just the pain was so unbearable i was on the floor in pain..i waited way to long to go to the docs and i ended up with an enlarged liver because the gallstones had done damage to my body like stress....my liver functions were off the charts...gallbladder attacks are caused by food..try not to eat fatty foods like peanut butter or anything fried..DONT EAT ANYTHING GREEN..this is a big one..lettuce is something i can never eat..docs dont tell you this i had to find it out the hard way and alot of ppl tell me the same thing about the foods. try putting hot water bottle on the right side to relieve the pain because nothing works..i tried taking zantac if i feel ones is coming..i had my gallbladder removed but i still get attacks if im not careful just get it checked out...if you wait too long your liver will enlarge and they will think you will have hep b which is stupid because the liver is right by the galllbladder and it is enlarged cause of the pain..i had laproscopic done to have it removed..its day surgery so you dont stay over night |
