Anyone had Gallbladder Disease or Removal?

I was wondering if anyone had gallbladder disease? If so, what kind of symptoms did you have and how long did they last before somethng was done about it?
Also if you've had your gallbladder removed {not having gall stones either} why? and what were your symptoms?

Gall bladder disease means it is the infection in the gall bladder may be because of bacteria or viral or gall stones inside it ! many time typhoid bacteria stays there and give relapse of the typhoid disease ! Stone also give the same sign symptoms like nausea and vomiting regurgitation specifically after taking fatty food as gall Balder will contract to empty bile in the intestine to make digestion of the fat !Many time hundreds of gall stones lies in it without causing any problem but in case any is stacked in common bile duct than it will result in jaundice and its removal is a must may be by endoscopic through the approach via sphincter of Oddi or by laproscopic surgery !It generally gives response to antibiotics and inti inflammatory drugs !It gives full ness of the stomach and some time also gives right shoulder joint as cutaneous nerve supply is common !Removal of gall blade may not cause any worng worse effect !If satisfied than give best answer mark !Always YouRsmE

It's almost like having stomach flu.

the pain is really PAINFULL I had gallblabber stone and man they are extremly painfull...I had my gallblabber moved and I super happy..I just had my surgery sometime May of this year and my doctor was telling I would have all these side effects but not really I can pretty much eat whatever I want...and dont have to be thinking of the pain! and the scar from the surgery are small, I have three small cuts that good now...if you have some pain it better to remove...good luck

Mild gall bladder problems caused by gallstones aren't nearly as bad as what people have described. Mine's an aching in the upper right part of my belly, starting above the appendix and reaching the lower ribs. It's worse when I eat anything at all.

My doctor says that once the testing to prove beyond doubt that this is gallbladder pain is complete (they're backed up, so my non-emergency problem has to wait two weeks), they'll probably want to remove it *before* it's "hot," highly infected and causing severe pain. It's safer for the patient not to wait until it's really bad.

Gallbladder surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her Hernia and colostomy surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for Minimal Invasive and Laparoscopy surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange Hernia, Appendectomy, Thyroid and other laparoscopy surgery for foreigners in India.
I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the Hernia, Colostomy and other minimal invasive surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

I kept having pain between my belly button and chest mid-line. (about three inches above belly button) and the only thing that seemed to help was holding my thumb over it and pressing in hard. Had a stupid doctor at the time and it lasted for over a year before i went to the ER one night and thought i had sever heart burn. Turned out to be the pain radiating upwards. The next afternoon they removed it and i felt so good when i woke up from surgery i asked if i could just go home. What a relief to have that bugger out.
