Gallbladder problems?????

After having many tests which show up negative I am still experiencing right upper quadrant pain that radiates to my right shoulder. Everything I've read indicates gallbladder. Are there other diseases that mimic the same symptoms. I am tired of feeling like a hypochondriac, but the pain is constant and it doesn't seem to be food related. Even in morning when I get out of bed, the pain is horrible. I've learned not to grimace and to hide the pain, but this daily pain is getting old and I don't know which specialist I should seek. Been to hospital 5 times this year for removal of polyps (endoscopically and thru a colonoscopy) with a gastroenterologist. He never addressed pain on side after discovering polyps.

From experience in nursing school, I had a patient that was having the same pain in the same location as you. The MD thought it was Gallbladder and ran all of the tests...negative. They decided to do explority surgery, and discovered that it was actually his appendix...instead of being located in his lower right quad as it should be, it was actually located in his UPPER right quad.

Cannot say if this is the same thing that is wrong with you...I am not a MD, but this is what your question reminded me of. Never hurts to ask the MD to check.
