My roommate had is gallbladder removed, I know this is stupid, but can gallbladder disease become contagious?

He most likely had it removed due to stones...this is not contagious. The cause for stones is the build up of mineral substances in the gallbladder this is not a contagious disease. There are two types of stones cholesterol and pigment stones. Most stones are the cholesterol type.
